Chapter 1 - Untitled
Submitted March 12, 2006 Updated March 12, 2006 Status Incomplete | This is a poem I wrote two years ago after I broke up with someone. It's about how painful love can be and how it can also be a blessing.

Chapter 1 - Untitled
Love Storm
Love is like a winter breeze
It's cold and bitter and when you sneeze
You're hurt outside and also within
You just can't take it; you just can't win
Love is like a thunder cloud
It strikes you in the face real loud
When it burns you in the face
You begin to wonder, “Where is my place?”
Love is like a giant slide
The world's longest life-long ride
Ups, downs, twists, turns and pain
But unlike love, you go faster in the rain
And yet…
Love is like the shining sun
You think you finally found the one
You cease cowering from the light
And wonder deep in thought, “Is this right?”

That's pretty. I have never had a boyfriend or anything before so I can't say I have experienced it myself, but I like your poem.
