Chapter 2 - The monster

The sun was shining bright, and the air was still warm. I looked around, but saw only the ocean. I was in the middle of nowhere, but I knew where I had to go.I suddenly felt something strange. It seemed that the waves went bigger and bigger. I looked out of the boat, into the water. I saw a shadow swimming nearby. It was huge, at least ten meters long. I hurried to a box with weapons and got out a long spear. I sat on the ground and waited. The ocean started to go berserk. Suddenly, the sky went dark and it started to rain. The waves went bigger and bigger. I took out my raincoat and looked around. I couldn’t see the shadow anymore. I though that the huge thing swam away, but paranoia was still bugging me. Then suddenly something burst out from the water. I grabbed my spear as tight as I could and faced the monster. It was a huge sea dragon. The dragon roared, and then glared at me. It’s mouth was bleeding and it’s teeth were broken. Now I understood which blood was at the island. The monster broke it’s teeth at the ice. I felt a shiver running through my body. The monster roared again and charged at my boat. It smashed the flagpole and jumped over the boat. I dodged the flying wood pieces and tried to attack the dragon, but it was too fast. The horrifying creature dived in the water, and then got out holding a huge rock in it’s mouth. I backed away. The dragon threw the rock at me. I dodged it, and fell on the ground. I was surprised at the fact, that the creature was so smart. I took my spear and ran at the monster. I flung it and charged at the monster.SLASH! I wounded the monster. It roared in pain and charged at me. I barely managed to run away, but the monster hit the boat with it’s tail. Wood pieces fell on me and I felt that my hand is wounded. With my bloody hand I managed to pick up a sword, and dodged another of the monster’s attacks. The monster tried to get out the spear, but only pushed it deeper. That made it more angry and aggressive. The monster shrieked and hit the boat with it’s tail. The boat tilted and I managed in the last second to jump on a box, that was floating in the water. I was very anxious, and I thought that this will be my last minute.The dragon was about to charge, and kill me, but it suddenly stopped. It was just a few inches from me. I could feel how it’s breath died down. Then the huge creature collapsed in the water. I looked down and saw it sinking and the blood that came from it. I didn’t understood why it died, because it didn’t loose that much blood to die. I sighed and sat down on the small box. Then I realized something horrible. I was on a box, that could anytime sink, and in the middle of nowhere. I started to worry. Then suddenly I heard a weird noise. I turned around. A huge wave was coming at me! I tried to swim a bit with the box, but the wave fell on me. Everything turned black and I could only feel the freezing water.I opened my eyes. I was sleeping on the same box, but I could see an ice island.It was cold, very cold. I slowly sat up and checked if I am still alive. I was alive, and nothing was missing, only I was wet and freezing. I wondered how I could survive the wave. I took out the sword and used it as a paddle to swim with the box. I slowly moved forward, and the waves helped me a bit. The ice islands went bigger and bigger. After a half hour I was there. I stood on the ice and got the box out of the water. I opened it. From the box fell weapons. I was a bit disappointed, because it didn’t have a tent nor food. I took the weapons and put them behind my belt. Then I looked around. This island had woods and I thought that I might find animals to hunt. I walked into the wood, and everything went dark. I felt that something was nearby. I must be lucky, that I always feel some danger besides me.
