The moon dutifully follows the sun.

Sometimes she follows him closely

Others, she just watches longingly from the distance.

The sun remains oblivious

To this shy offer of friendship,

The quaking hand that is extended

With purpose.

No, the sun is brilliant,

And blamed for the ills of others.

He is radiant, and the moon

Devotedly reflects his glow.

The moon may trail the sun, but the sun will always

Chase Venus,

The brightest star in the sky,

The star of the morning.

He shines ever more fiercely if Venus even acknowledges his existence.

In her presence, the moon pales.

But Venus is unmoved by his attention.

Not like Luna, the moon.

The glowing entity in the daytime sky

Occupies her thoughts forever.

And thus, the celestial triangle is complete.
