ATTACK OF THE TOOLS!



One day in class Ulrich and Odd sat in their seats so bored that they

Actually listened to their teacher. But they didn't listen as much as their nerdy friend

Jeremy. Jeremy sat there as a little perfect,angel-like,A+ student,and a teacher's pet.

But the friends ignored that part of him. They were the best of friends. But not without

Yumi, the only girl of the group. They all hung out so much, well they were best friends.

`'Does anybody know what the square root of 55121 is?''Mrs. Hertz asked the class

`'Huh? Anybody?'' Of course one hand shot up-Jeremy's hand. `'Ma'am, the answer is..239. Because 239 x 239 = 55121.'' Ulrich and Odd looked at each other, `'He sure

Is smart, huh Odd?'' Ulrich whispered. `'Yeah. A pure smarty-pants'' Odd whispered

back. They both snickered, but didn't get caught.

Class went on as the boys snickered and went on and on about how smart

Jeremy was. When class was over the boys went out side to wait on Jeremy.

When he walked out he didn't look up. He totally ignored the rest of the group.

Yumi looked up at Jeremy she spoke softly.”Jeremy are you OK? I'll be ignored.

I won't like it ,but fine, Jeremy, fine.'' Yumi caught none of his attention, none of it.

Jeremy finally said `'They want to make me move- to a very big, new school.

A school for very, very smart kids'' he looked up “like me.” I'll be tested tomorrow.

Jeremy walked away in a large amount of grief. Ulrich stared for a minute. Then he said

“Didn't this happen before when it was attack of the mice? Because it's just familiar.”

Yumi and Odd looked at him and nodded. They didn't like the fact Jeremy is smart.

When the kids walked away a long and black figure came out of the plug-in.

It cruised around the school then saw the tool shed. The figure went through the doors.

It saw Tamia and Millie inside. The girls saw it and ran away in deep, deep fear.

The figure was-of course-XANA. He saw the tools and got a thought about the tools.

The figure took over the tools and thought up a XANA plan.

The group saw Tamia and Millie. Odd looked at Ulrich and said one word only.

“XANA!” Yumi made a face. “Odd let's just ask them. I think that they'll say it.”

Ulrich quickly agreed and they ran up to the two girls. “Are you girls alright?

What did you see? Do you have it on tape? Millie why are you crying?” the group asked.

Millie sobbed constantly, made time to answer. “The thing-black-my teddy bear!!”

Millie had left her teddy bear behind. Yumi volunteered to go get it. Then, of course,

Ulrich told them he had to go too. They went in the tool shed and spotted the teddy bear.

They were scared and shivering, but slowly walked up to the bear. Meanwhile outside

Odd said you girls go to the infirmary; they'll bring your teddy bear to you Millie. I promise. The girls shivered, agreed, and left. “I got to go to Lyoko right now.” He called Jeremy and they met at the factory. “Jeremy? Where's Aelita? I can't see her picture on

Lyoko.” Odd stared at the supercomputer and listened while Jeremy told Odd that

Aelita was already there waiting for him. Odd nodded at Jeremy's every sentence.

He didn't understand, though. Jeremy finished then sent Odd to Lyoko to fight.

Meanwhile in the tool shed Yumi and Ulrich were about 3 steps away from the teddy bear, when a rake threw itself at Yumi. Ulrich quickly put his hand in front of Yumi's face. He got stabbed by it. It just went through a little, but it started bleeding. Yumi's eyes got really big at that sight. She quickly screamed “Ulrich! Are you OK? I'll get you some bandage if you need it. I……” Ulrich stopped her. “Yumi! I'm just fine! It doesn't hurt too much. I've bled before, but thanks anyway.” On that note Yumi quickly took his arm to make sure. Then she realized it was the wrong hand. It looked like she was holding his hand. They blushed. Yumi let go quickly. They, then, snapped out of it. Ulrich took another step forward very slowly. Yumi followed. They weren't but a few inches away from grabbing the teddy bear. Ulrich leaned forward a bit, then snatched the teddy bear. Yumi yelled “OK now let's run out of here!” She then looked at the door, but before she made a move Ulrich yelled “No!” He grabbed her shoulder. Then they took small steps but a crowbar latched the door shut. Ulrich saw a hoe coming at them. He pushed Yumi down and fell beside her. They got out of the way just in the nick of time.

“Ulrich, I want to leave, now.” Yumi told Ulrich. “Yumi, I know. I do too. I don't control the door, though.” Ulrich answered. Yumi looked at Ulrich and said “bummer, huh?” Ulrich just snickered.

Jeremy had started Odd's transfer. “Transfer, Odd. Scanner, Odd. Virtualization” and just like that Odd was in Lyoko. He landed on his feet, like all cats do. Then, he started to look for Aelita. Odd looked and looked. Then, finally, he found Aelita. “Hey,

Princess. So where's the tower and where's the monsters? I'm all fired up!” Aelita just smiled then said “There's the tower! No I haven't seen any, all day! They must be hibernating! Now, come on! Let's go!” they both ran towards the tower and then Odd saw 2 mega-tanks, 3 bloks, and 3 hornets! Let the fighting begin! Odd then shot 2 bloks and 3 hornets with his laser-arrows. He had a way to go, still.

In the tool shed Ulrich and Yumi were in big danger. The same hoe went after them. This time instead of protecting against it, Ulrich grabbed it. He cut open the door Yumi ran out. He, then, threw the hoe and ran out, too. A chainsaw then went after the two, or did it? It cut down the tree and the tree fell on Yumi. Ulrich tried to pull her out, but she couldn't get out. “Ulrich, help me! Please! It hurts!” Yumi screamed. Ulrich pulled and pulled, but nothing could help her. “Yumi, I'll go get a strong chain. I'll come back, I promise! Yumi, listen to me, keep your eyes 100% open, okay?” Ulrich asked Yumi. Yumi nodded. Then, Ulrich dashed off.

In Lyoko odd had destroyed the blok, still he had 2 mega-tanks to go. Not too hard right? Wrong. Odd had 25 life points left. Could he make it? He made 5 shots, he missed. Then he had to reload. Jeremy took a while. He couldn't reload him until he got rid of a bug in the computer. Odd waited and, finally, Jeremy said what had happened. Odd made a plan of his own. But, it was pretty original. His plan was to hide and not get killed by the mega-tanks. He hid just waiting for Jeremy. Odd had to keep Aelita safe and he had too keep that in mind. He also had to stay alive. So, Odd better be very careful.

Ulrich returned as he promised to see that Yumi broke her promise. Her eyes were shut. Ulrich panicked. He shook her and tried to talk to her, but nothing worked. Her eyes were still shut. He worried because what if her eyes never opened ever again? Ulrich still didn't give up hope. He kept trying to talk to her. “Yumi? Come on! Don't leave me here all alone. I need you. Not Odd, or Jeremy, even Aelita, just you. Come on, wake up! Yumi!” He sat there watching her. He hoped she would wake up. A few seconds later his wish really came true. He needed a miracle and got one. Yumi's eyes slowly opened. Ulrich looked at her, as she slowly spoke to him. “Ulrich, I didn't think you'd come back. I thought you would go get Jeremy and not come straight back. I'm sorry I had lost faith. I won't doubt you anymore!” Ulrich and Yumi both blushed. Then, Ulrich, finally, got her out and they both headed straight to the factory.

Odd wasn't doing so well. He had 10 life points left. Then, he shot a mega-tank before it got him. But, it was too late. Yes, he destroyed the mega-tank, but, the other one got him. Luckily, Ulrich and Yumi appeared right then. They got the last mega-tank by team work. Aelita entered the tower. She entered the code: LYOKO and then deactivated the tower. Time went back, into the past, before XANA attacked. This time when the teacher asked the very same question, Jeremy didn't answer. The friends were to never to be broken apart. XANA or no XANA they'll get through it together, and Jeremy knew that.
