Chapter 10 - Uh oh

I stand watch while my companions attempt to fall asleep. I try to think of a song to help them fall asleep.
~I know!~
I begin to sing My Wish.

I hope the days come easy
And the moments pass slow
And each road leads you
Where you wanna go
And if you're faced with a choice
And you have to choose
I hope you choose the one
That mean the most to you

Every mistake

Yeah more than anything......


I pause to look over at them.
~Asleep.... That's good.~
I notice that Milli and Masoki have stopped shaking, but Nara hasnt. I feel her forehead.
~Hmm... A slight fever. I hope she can make it to Sand. We've only got to travel for three more days.~
I feel Milli's and Masoki's heads just in case.
~No fevers. That's a releif.~
I continue my watch all through the night.
"Come on! Time to wake up!" I say, gently shaking them all awake.
"One more minute mommy......" Milli mumbles and turns over.
Masoki groans and gets up slowly. He walks over to Milli and pokes her.
"Wake up dork. It's time to get a move on." He says.
"I'm up! You dont need to poke me!" Milli yells.
"Shh! Nara's still asleep! Help me wake her up GENTLY!" I hiss.
WE walk over to Nara. I gently shake her.
"Nara-chan" I sing. "It's time to wake up!"
"Mmmmfmf" was my answer.
I continue to shake her.
"Wake up!"
"G-go away. I d-dont feel like g-getting up." she mumbles.
"Of course you dont. Ever since you fell asleep, you've been running a fever." I say calmly.
She sits bolt upright.
"I h-have?"
"Yup. Now get your butt in gear. We have three more days of traveling to do, and they wont get done by us just sitting here." I say smiling.
We eat a quick breakfast and head off. Once again, Milli jumps ahead. Masoki walks just a little behind her. I stay back with Nara in case if she needs help.
~This is definetly an interesting trip.~
