Whispers in the Wind

I've heard the voice before,

but didn't always choose to listen.

I went through life making my own decisions;

instead of asking someone for guidance.

Making things hard for myself;

without realizing,

I could ask God for help.

Their was always my conscience,

or so I thought,

that seemed to speak to me,

like whispers in the wind.

I got frustrated,

Arguing with myself.

And decided,

that I would go my own ways.

I should've listened to that voice,

because it was God.

Even as I pushed away,

Tried fighting it,

He kept speaking,

But the voice got weaker and weaker.

I slowly got stuck where I was;

Lost in the world,

Then I finally fell,

And had no one to pick me up.

I cried out to God,

And heard a gentle,

caring voice.

It was like a whisper in the wind,

Behind the Story: As all people do, I went through a hard time before I found God. I wasn't saved until I was in sixth grade. I knew about God, but didn't choose him. I kept pushing Him away, until it was the only thing I could turn to. Finally, I turned my heart, and He told me how He wanted me to live.
