Grown

Years ago my dreams brought me here.
And only in my dreams am I able
To see past the locks and keys-
And reveal a secret world
But, I have grown up.
And now, ruptured pain keeps me away.
From ever seeing what was
Ever again………

Sadness controls me if I think of you,
If only I could venture back into
The darkened forest and scale that wall,
Just once more…
Maybe I could wish all my sorrows away,
And with that wish, maybe I could
Lay my hand down and feel the warmth
The resonating warmth from your heart…
But wishing cannot help me,
And that is what is keeping me from seeing you,
Ever again…

Those thoughts pound in my head all day long…
What have I done to lose it now?
I can’t reach out for you, Love,
I will fall, and I will fall forever,
It’s just like you to let go of everything
To catch me….
Then I can be with you, and we can fall together
Fall together forever,
Though, I’ve grown, I still love you.
And we can fall together forever…
