Somebody's played Secret of Mana! ^.^ I love that game. So that's who Sala is! Sala is so cute ^.^More seriously, I loved this:

That was brilliant. Even my dad liked that line, and he's...difficult to please. I am still becoming more and more interested in this story with every chapter I read.
Time to become a bit more obsessed still...^.^

Eep. Naku has been blinded? Owwwwww...makes my eyeballs hurt in sympathy --.--So we have Forin the cat, Cian the mouse, Seth the dog, Sanja the unknown--or no, wait. There's a wolf that is not Sanja, so Seth must be the wolf and Sanja must be the dog--and Koronis the fox. Hmm...Koronis sounds hot. Evil, but hot ~.^
Now I'm curious as to what cavalry Natami brought, as well as just how Cian is now taking care of Tir/ Flip ^.^ Lessee then...

More typos, but I loved the cheerleader line ^.^ After that two-toes thing, I gained a whole new inquisition towards what exactly Hexians are. For that matter, the two toes made me think of Two-Toed Tom from the Abarat books. Isn't it weird how different people can pick out such different things from a story like yours? Star Ocean (^.^) Chrono Cross, Abarat...Did you mean to call Flip Tir at that one point soon after we meet him, or was that a typo? Just curious...

Ah...at last I get to read your story, and actually learn a little about the characters I have seen so often. Although...is there a picture of these two? I need to go check...Not to be redundant, but I agree with Trinity_Fire and Midnight_Chaos. I like this beginning--you get a good feel of the characters here--and although there are a few typos, indeed, nothing major. Your Leena reminds me of Chrono Cross Leena--I can totally see her bashing Naku `round the head with a besom. Fun images ^.^
