Chapter 1 - Untitled
I will tell you all
A story here
I will tell you the story
Of Paul Revere
When I got the news
Of a terrible battle
I jumped on my horse
And headed for town
I set on out to see
A good, old friend
To ask him for some help
Once again
He said yes
In aid of my quest
I told him to go
To the tower in the west
He asked what to do
Then he listened to me
“Light one light by land,
Two lights by sea.”
The British would come
By land or by sea
To finish the Revolution
To end our struggle to be free
I crossed the river
In a boat with my horse
To await the signal
To warn towns around
My friend lit one lamp
And I started to rise
Then two lamps he lit
This took me by surprise
I galloped away
In the dark of the night
To warn sleeping people
So they don't wake to the fight
I galloped through town
Shouting out loudly
“The British are coming
Not by land but by sea.”
I galloped on my horse
Spreading the word
Pondering if others
Have already heard
I galloped down the road
And stopped at a wall
I thought I heard someone
So I started to call,
“My named is Paul Revere
Please let me go past
I need to warn everyone
The British are coming fast.”
Then I saw someone's head
Then he dropped down a bag
I opened it up
And saw the British flag
I dropped open my jaw
I was frozen with shock
Then I suddenly turned my horse
With the speed of a hawk
The British started to fire
Scaring my horse
It tossed me off
And I fell with great force
I started to rise
When I heard a horse neigh
American soldiers came
To take me away
