I see him
Standingin the shadows,
Waiting
Waiting.
he sees me,
alert and uneasy,
Waiting
Waiting.
I know who he is
i could sense him,
The Vampire Lestat
The Brat Prince.
I shift my footing
does he know who i am?
Waiting
Waiting.
A change of light,
A nod?
Waiting
Waiting.
The distance between us
is filled with tension, suspicion,
Waiting
Waiting.
finally, he turns,
Evaporates into the darkness
I breathe
Although i know it's not over.
He's there.
He's waiting.
Waiting
Waiting.
