Chapter 1 - I Should Tell You
I suppose I should tell you,
I've got it all wrong.
But at the moment it's true,
and it won't be for long.
So I'll do what I will,
and you'll do it too.
We'll each pay our bill,
whenever it's due.
I'm gonna sit here and smile,
In spite of my wrongs.
I'll wait here a while,
maybe even hum a song.
I'll leave when I'm ready
So I may be late
when I tell you 'I'm sorry.'
It's just my stubborn trait.
I suppose I should tell you
I'm wrong, it's true.
But I won't, 'cuz in a few
You'll tell me this too.
I've got it all wrong.
But at the moment it's true,
and it won't be for long.
So I'll do what I will,
and you'll do it too.
We'll each pay our bill,
whenever it's due.
I'm gonna sit here and smile,
In spite of my wrongs.
I'll wait here a while,
maybe even hum a song.
I'll leave when I'm ready
So I may be late
when I tell you 'I'm sorry.'
It's just my stubborn trait.
I suppose I should tell you
I'm wrong, it's true.
But I won't, 'cuz in a few
You'll tell me this too.
