Chapter 3 - Animals

Cats are wonderful animals; they are very soft and cute,
Nothing like a newt!
They are not like a cow,
Because cats go meow,
While cows go moo,
Who are they talking to?
Cats have tails, which seem to have a mind of their own
They like mice toys but don’t really have as many treats as dogs, like dogs get to chew a bone
Cats are quite fast,
In a race, they WON’T come last!
They are sneaky and sly,
This is NOT a lie!
They arch their back and pounce on their prey,
They are fantastic animals I have to say!
Their cute small eyes hypnotize you whenever you look at them because they are adorable, cute and cuddly,
Then suddenly,
You realise that they aren’t just made for that, they reduce the amount of birds, get rid of the rodents in our homes like rats and mice,
They bring you presents home, which don’t particularly look nice,
But they do think of you,
They don’t treat you like a loo!
They are always there for you, waiting to give you a hug,
Looking at you in a cute way, sitting on the rug,
They still love you even when they hiss at you in the hot weather, you can’t blame them for their hot fur coat also, and they are even there for you when it’s cold,
They don’t care if you are young or old,
All that matters to them is that you treat them great and give them a lovely cosy house,
And a few toys to play with, especially a mouse!





Dogs are very playful and love to chew a bone,
They don’t like to be on their own,
They love to play with a ball and a small toy,
They are happy to play with anyone, even a little girl or boy,
They bark a lot,
And love to walk to the park, even when it’s hot
When they get excited, they wag their tail,
Wag it so fast that they could cause a gale!
Sometimes they yap when they are happy, unlike a cat, which would purr
Some dogs have long fur, while other dogs have short fur,
They have lots of toys made for them; have many treats and foods,
They will protect their things if anything intrudes.


Rabbits that live in your home are normally kept in cages while other rabbits can hop around in the wild, feeling happy that they are free!
Able to run around and chase a bumblebee
Rabbits are soft, and are either small or big,
But they are obviously smaller than a pig
Rabbits stomp their foot on the ground,
To show that there is danger around
They love to eat carrots and other veg,
They can run very fast, and jump quite high, they can easily jump onto a window ledge.
When they sniff the air for enemies, they twitch their nose.
Male rabbits are called bucks, females are called does.
