Chapter 1 - pain
Pain
Silent, hurtful, swift
As it tears through your body hitting every nerve it can.
While you wince and it smiles and laughs.
But you look at it as it looks at you and you push through while you push your muscles harder and harder to finish a race. Pain looks at you in disbelief and goes without a word
Leaving you to only feel the numbness after you finish. But you know that Pain will be back the next time you run.
