Chapter 1 - Friends

As she sits there with tears filling up her eyes,
Everyone else points and laughs.
But they have no idea about the cheats and lies,
About all those fights.

If only they had a day in her shoes,
They would realise what she puts up with every lunch.
What it would feel like to lose,
What it feels like to be a nothing.

What has she got to live for anymore?
She might as well go and drown herself.
But she is wrong, all she has to do is open the door,
And she will find the people that really count.

Not the ones who would turn their backs,
And would call her names.
Not the ones who would tell her good looks is something she lacks,
And would do anything to impress.

The ones who will stay by her side,
The ones who will love her forever.
The ones that never lied,
Or never laughed at her outfits.

They will love her for who she is,
Not for who someone tells her to be.
These wonderful people,
They’re called FRIENDS.
