Final Fantasy XIII
Entry 012
I've been running around Pulse doing the missions. I'm at Vanille & Fang's village now. Just fixed Vanille's robot, it's so cute! I still like Cocoon better though. I'll take a city over a village any day. I'm pretty well leveled due to the missions, I think, but it still feels like the game limits that. I'm hoping the next class levels unlock soon.

Back at Cocoon, almost at the end. I didn't do all the missions, decided I had leveled enough and moved on. The race track in pretty. I wish the NORA guys had gotten more character development. The sequel is at 31% on Steam. It'll be a while before I can actually play it with how slow my Internet can get.

Nearing the end, so here are some thoughts. The graphics are absolutely beautiful, the characters are interesting, the story is boring and cliche and the battle system is plain. Even so, it doesn't actually bother me, it's still very much playable and even if the battles are a bit boring, they're not so bad. The biggest downfall is the story, but if I think of it as being only part of the story, since there are sequels, then it's... Still weak actually.
On the bright side the characters are well made enough to carry the game despite the downfall of the plot they're in following their reunion at Hope's place, up until then, it seemed to be going well. The strongest point is that the game is so gorgeous, I took a ton of screen shots on Steam. Overall, it's worth playing, for awesome characters, getting thrown into boring cliches in a beautiful world. I especially like how everything moves around them in Pulse, the light effects at Vanille & Fang's village and most of all the sci-fi city of Cocoon (the parts with the lights rather than the grey areas in the beginning).
All that's left to do is finish the game, I'm already in Eden. Then I have Final Fantasy XIII 2 to play.

I don't have the patience for grinding anymore. I already have the sequel, so I might you tube the ending and start with that. I just don't want to grind and I'll clearly have to if I'm going to beat this boss, unless I'm fortunate enough that the doom counter always missed the leader, which I can't really count on. Maybe I'll go back to it and finish it later.
