I worked the afternoon shift on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, my normal hours, the rest of the week is on call. I got stuck with the morning shift on Monday and Tuesday, but only worked the morning on Monday and traded Tuesday morning for Tuesday afternoon. Margaret offered to tirade her afternoon for my morning whenever possible, so that's good. I have the afternoon shift tomorrow, Wednesday, I'm supposed to be off on Thursday and hope to make use of that time by going video game shopping. Then I work Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the afternoon again.

I'm mostly blogging to get it all organized in my head. 6 days, one over time, I used to have a strict no over time policy until I found a job that's such a piece of cake (sometimes literally since e celebrate employee birthdays) that I don't mind being here. It's crazy, but I wouldn't mind coming in on Thursday afternoon if I get called, it'll mean a 7 day schedule this week (normally it's 3) but the runway is being painted for half the noon shift on that day so instead of having little to do I'll have nothing to do. I don't get why people hate jobs where your primary function is being available to do something rather than doing something. I love it, because then I can draw pictures, watch you tube and entertain myself while I get paid to just be there on stand by in case something needs to be done.

Sometimes I do get stuff to do, but it's the exception, not the norm, still, I'm needed on standby by because you never know when a flight will decide to drop in announcing itself only minutes before it lands and wants service. It's worth keeping us around because three flights a week cover our salary, which isn't very big, but for the things I do, anything feels generous. That's how I go, it's not about the money I get but about the difference between what I get and what I give. I don't find busy high paying jobs profitable because they leave me too exhausted and cranky for the money to serve as consolation. But with a chill job that pays just enough I can get what I want and actually enjoy it... Like Dragon Ball Xenoverse, I'm really considering getting a Steam card next week and buying it.

Ok that's enough for a random rant. I hope that the expansions everyone is so happy about at my job don't ruin the chill atmosphere for me. I hate being busy, I have no endurance for work what so ever, but no one has really noticed it since everything I've ever been asked to do so far has been the type of jobs that I find to be very easy... Like writing silly fanfiction as I sit around waiting for a late plane to arrive. If I was at home, I would be doing the same thing, so I don't mind at all.
