Character Creation: Not too different, some small updates, nothing that stands out a lot.
City: I like that Conton is a single map, but without flight from the start it's a bit annoying to get around, even with the transportation robots. Toki was easier to navigate and everything felt more accessible, though Conton is more varied. Overall, I like both for different reasons. Once I'm able to unlock hub world flight, I'll probably like Conton best.
Gameplay: I'm just getting started with 2 so I haven't played much, but I do notice an improvement in the general gameplay. It's not a huge difference, as the gameplay in 1 was already great, but it's an improvement that just noticeable. I like that you can train with multiple characters at once. At first it was annoying to fight them with a preset moveset, but I got used to it quickly so it's not an issue.
Plot: I haven't seen enough of the plot to judge 2, but I did enjoy the plot of 1 a lot. This might change in the future, but so far, since plot is such a big thing for me in games 1 remains as my favorite. 2 can still recover and even surpass 1, but it's off to a weaker start. The start of 1 was epic with Trunks summoning the player via the dragon balls as they needed a strong warrior. Then Trunks <3 acted as a guide throughout the story. In 2 you're just a time payroll trainee and future Trunks is yet to make an appearance outside of the intro. The plot of 2 will have to be amazing to compete and even then it might not win because the plot of 1 was so perfect for a Trunks fangirl.
