A Matsumoto fan *shock* there's way too few of them, I don't understand why she isn't more popular, or the GinxRan pairing. It's too bad (T_T)

Yeah Rangiku is her first name, that's why Gin is the only one who uses that name (maybe Kira too, not sure). Since they were childhood friends (Gin+Ran).
It's normal to use peoples last names in Japan unless they are really close.
And Ishida..... I don't think I've ever heard anyone use his first name (Uryuu)....poor guy....
