"In an interview with the creators, it was revealed that Axel and Roxas were intended to be a homosexual couple within the Kingdom Hearts franchise, Disney, however did not like this idea. Due to their role within the franchise, Square Enix and the Kingdom Hearts creators have toned down the suggested relationship between Axel and Roxas in order to comply with Disney’s ideals."
