Ooh, I'm sorry about that, I know how that is. I went through something like that a few years ago. I would wake up like at 3:00 and couldn't go back to sleep. It went on for like two weeks, it was horrible.I hope things go back to normal for you soon.

But other than that, things are going well for me. just last week though, I lost my older dog. She was 15 years old and we had to put her down because her back legs had failed her, royal. so it was the best thing for her. But that same day I got a permanent job working with a special-needed Pre-K class so it was like God was soothing the day over for me. so all is well for me.So how about you? what have you been up to?

Hi Autumn! You bought a tablet!? Ooh, lucky you. Yes! I love my Wacom, I feel it is the best thing I had ever bought for my computer. I think mine is the same size as yours. It real easy to use, well for me it is. The only problem I had is when I first used it is that I had to train myself not to look to see what my hand is drawing, I had to learn to look at the screen. but after the first two times I used it, I fell in love with it. and I also have a tendancy to turn my paper to the side when I draw, so I had to break myself of that habit as well because as I learned, the screen doesnt turn when your turn the tablet... haha. Well, I hope I helped you out a little bit. Drawing on it is very smooth. I'm sure you'll like it. Go ahead and ask if you have any more questions, ok? I'm interested in seeing what you think of it when you get it, chat laters!

I know what it's like taking a class which ended up being something else what what was expected. The only time I took what I thought was an art class, ended up being a class only consisting of mosaics and copying newspaper comic strips. Not my thing, But it was alright. It was fun with the people I met. But your class sure sounded a lot more fun than the one I took, LoL! XD

hey'a, whats up? how have you been? It's so good to hear the pack is stable! I was kind'a getting worried the pack might have been breaking apart, none the less, it's growing even with BlackWolf on board, Yay! Do you know in Aspen joined?

I can agree Coyotes are a real hazard to pets, There use to be hills next to where I live and when they started building houses, the coyotes had no where to go and ended up hunting small pets since al their food source were gone. Ironically, people were getting angry at the coyote for hunting their pets when they were the ones who moved onto their territory and dove them out. Please dont get me wrong, I'm not saying thats the case with your Uncle's dog, I'm just saying that use to happen a lot out here. We use to see a coyote here and there up and down our street because they had no where to go. It saddens me.

Anywho, You're too hard on yourself. I really like the style of your wolves, as I was saying, you definetly have your own unique style! I just love it! and your coloring is just great!

someone else actually asked me about the moon on DA when I posted it. It's odd though because that was the easiest part of the drawing =/

well anyways, I just took a round hard brush tool, adjusted the size to my liking, and stamped it.

Then, I changed the brush color to the sky/background color and adjusted the size until the edge of the brush met the edge of the already stamped circle.

After I created the crescent, I then used the Dodge tool and used it along the back edge to create the light effect.

Then to finish it up, I blurred it a little.

lol trust me, that's what I said when I first started out with it. I got it about last summer, and I've been working with it since, looking at tutorials and figuring things out on my own. It's hard x_x

If I explained my procedure... it would take a LONG while and I'm not sure if you'll understand it, let alone want to read all of it lol =/

If you want me to explain what I did though, just ask and I'll e-mail you a response. Maybe it will help brighten up a few other things that you didn't know. ^^;;;

I had just came back from Yosemite Nat. Park with my family. It's really pretty up there. It's one of our normal vacation spots, but it seemed more enjoyable this time. The waterfalls were the biggest they've been in ten years, or so I heard probably because of all the rain/snow fall. I've got to admit,I came home with 22 wonderfully itching souvenirs. *Busts out the deet spray* Mosquitos are of the devil!!!!! >_<

Yeah so anyway, Ive got to see something other people probably would never dream of seeing in the wild! A coyote taking a dump in front of my camera were I was taking pics. Yeah, I bet your jealous XD

Hi Autumn child!

How have you been?
Sorry I haven't replyed to your message sooner. As I told Wolfchick and moonsong, I had quite a week ~_~ All well, it's all good. LoL. The fur on my wolf had all been done by hand (erm... I have a Wacom tablet)and added in layers. I really meant it to be in B/W, But after I had finished the drawing, I decided to take it another step higher and add color. At first, it was 'airbrushed' very lightly to give a base on top of the existing fur, then I decided to draw in 'colored' fur by hand to add a little more of realism to it. Then I added more and more layers to make it full.... O_O All experimentation....
I was going to post a few steps here so you can kinda get a visual idea, but I had forgotten I had rasterized (sp?)
the layers together and saved it as a JPG. Ah well, I'll save the steps on the next one I do if you kinda want to get an idea.

I have a real problem drawing more than one 'character' in a picture too. Either wolves or whatever. I know I should practive more XD. But I thought the colors looked great. And you have added shadows! Some people forget that anything that is white also has shadows too... so good for you. LoL.

I'm still thinking of what type of wolf I should be. I mean the color of my coat. It's like I'm putting the wolf-like spirit I feel I have into a physical form, so I want to kind'a be unique. I had a crazy Idea of being sort of a phantom scout wolf, but I don't think our Alpha will go for that, lol. But anyway, I'll think about it. Any ideas?

I'm pretty lost as well. All I got out of Wolfchick is that the other beta, Blindseer, doesn't like em, so we don't want contact with them. 0_0 I don't get it either, but I must honor the alpha's decision.
