I have guy @ school that hugs me alot...and he has a girlfriend..or at least I think he does...anyway,just try to talk to him about stuff both of you enjoy doing. go really slow with it,and pretend you just like him as a bf..and maybe he'll end up liking you in return.
believe me,8th grade relationships are the shortest known to man.I see my class switching relationships all the time.so he'll probaly get over the girl he's with now pretty fast.good luck! hope I gave good advice^^

Very Cool pic in your pro. You go Punk Chicka. If you like this guy so much, just let him come to you. I am glad you are friends and he gives you hugs, but don't rush for he may not like you that way. But I hope it works out for the best and who knows he might want you in the future. Also if you get a chance tell him how you feel at least. I haven't been in 7th grade for 11 years, so I don't remember much about the guys of that time but I hope you get your wish. ^_^ Post some pics soon.
