In Memory of Grunt

Blog Entry: In Memory of Grunt
Early this morning, my family's dog, Grunt, was hit by a car and killed. He was about nine years old, and we had him for seven. Grunt was the most lovable, playful, affectionate dog I've ever known. Despite his age, he still had tons of energy and acted like a puppy. He was also a wonderful guard dog, not letting anyone he didn't know out of their car. Of course, if he did know someone, and liked them, he's try to get in the car with them. He loved all of our other animals, the cats, our other dog Splot, and rooster. He also liked oppossums for some reason. Whenever one was in the yard, he'd pick it up, carry around, and then preen it. We never did figure out why he did that. He loved everyone in the family, and would often try to sit on our laps. If he thought we were hurt, he'd come over and lick any part of us he could reach. There's so much more I could write, and I may later, but for now I'll stop. We love you and you'll be missed, Grunt. May you rest in peace.
