That was an old pic of Shadow done probably two or three months ago that I decided to color I know there were a lot of mistakes on it but I didn't really feel like fixing it. His newer version is in the approving mode and so it should be up sometime today or tomorrow I hope ^_^
As for the color scheme I told you I was gonna switch them around and that's what I did but since not a lot of people liked the new color scheme lol I'm changing it back to his original colors.

I'm gonna do it in photoshop my wrist isn't really cooperating with me at the moment -_- but I have a basic pic of him up if you wanna see him. I'm gonna re-draw him and probably add something else too not really sure just yet.

Well for that pic I used a combination of pens and colored pencils.
I first color the part I'm working on with colored pencils and then to make the colors really stand out and smooth looking I go over it with the same colored pen to help hide the white spots and blend it together ^_^
Are you gonna post anymore pics? and what about your photoshop pic?

Hey I was wondering if you were still here.
For realism it just takes practice and of course it depends largely on your shading/blending skills because that's all it really is just various shades to give it depth and whatever ^_^

I don't know about your computer but I placed mine on the dektop or you could go through the start menu and look for it there just check in every little box ^_^ I did that once but I found it lol.

Yeah actually it never occured to me to use a paint brush until I watched Donnie Darko ^_^
It's a great tool for blending because it makes an even tone also it's a easier way to make folds in clothes or to carry out a shadow.
