Tonight was a good night. I uploaded a picture, watched a little TV, had some pancakes... But now, my night (and the rest of my dinner) is ruined. Why? Well...
It happened only a few minutes ago. I had installed Splinter Cell on my computer and became hungry, so I asked my sister if I could make some Easy Mac (Kraft's easy-to-make macaroni and cheese.) She said yes, so I set to work. I poured the macaroni into a plastic bowl along with 2 thirds of a cup, put it in the microwave for 3 minutes, and poured the flavor satchet in. I got a big spoon and brought the plastic container over to the computer and stirred as I played. After a while, I munched the macaroni down. I was still a bit hungry, so I grabbed another two satchets of mac and poured them into the plastic container. I placed the container into the microwave and set it to 3 minutes. Then, I sat back down at the computer and continued playing. After about a minute, I noticed an odd smell.
The smell... of fire.
I quickly got back to the microwave and looked behind it. No fires there. I sat back down at the computer and continued playing. The smell was still there. I walked back to the microwave and peered through the glass. All the macaroni on the top was pitch black!!
No fires, luckily, but the macaroni was obviously burnt. I hit pause (on the microwave), opened the door and took the container out. I could see (and smell!) that the macaroni was steaming hot! I didn't know what to do, but luckily Mum was here at this time. (She came from work a short time after I ate the macaroni I had - the one that wasn't burnt.) She ran to the kitchen and saw me, holding the burnt macaroni.
I can still smell it now. So, what was my mistake? Dumb old me forgot to put the water in!
