So i came back here to check around and see what everyone is all up too, and I still love this place, because when I look back on all my old work I get to say "well shoot, I'm not great but holy shoot I've improved from when i was thirteen!" XD
I'd like to post some of my new stuff up here, but i spilled something on the printer/scanner and I've been hearing its reluctant to work.
I'm so great with technology, my kids probably wont even know how to plug in a dvd player.... Then again when I was a kid we used VHS and now we use DVD players.. so maybe by the time I'm ready to have kids (if i ever am to be fair) they'll have another method. Before you ask, i'm not actually the right age to have been using a VHS player anymore then I was to know what the frack a super nintendo was... my family just took a lot of secondhand stuff and wasn't very well off.
I even played atari games when I was a kid, and I had american girl dolls from my grandfather on my dads side. I don't remember what they were called, just that I played a bear dodging trees.... I do remember the american girl dolls though. Mine had long brown hair and we used to dress them up like barbies and have scenarios. I also remember playing with the little ninja turtle toys my sister owned, we would put them with the polly pockets and they would have adventures together. Polly pockets are from my time period, but I played outside more then with them. Before you old people go yelling at me, when i say "kid" I mean being ten or eleven years old...
I'm not an adult yet, but I will be in a few months, so it can't hurt to think about my past.
Sometimes I wish that I knew I would be getting something expensive for my 18th, like a car or a trip to a really fancy resturaunt where the waiters dressed in black and white and the room was lit by chandeliers or something like that.. But then again, monetary value can't compare to the real value of a gift that matters. So no, I don't really need that car, when I do need one I'll save up for it. You know the food in fancy resturaunts, is never as good as a home cooked meal anyway, besides, I always feel awkward with people bringing it to me..
I don't even like going somewhere where everyone has to go and get your stuff for you or move it. I wanna go up to guys who are paid to do that and say "wait lemme help" because thats just the message that was ingrained into my head. I always helped, I always moved stuff, everyone worked together. So i hate watching people do service jobs for me.
Maybe ill end up working a job like that, I'd love to be an artist but at the rate i'm going there are too many others who's abilities far exceed mine. I think the trick is going to be having unique ideas behind your drawings, unique manga ideas, or working for a very successful company. oh well
Happy sunday to all, and to all a good neigh.
