Hiya! Since I built it, I figured I should at least post something.
I'm sure there are many updates to come for this system, and all for the sake of you guys.
You should all feel very loved. :)
At any rate, the story on all this is as follows, and yes it's true.
It just so happened that one day, while perusing the forums, I stumbled onto a topic about a new feature for the site. Knowing what I do (did, rather) about the simplicity of implementing said feature I argued another user on his point (you older members may know him as Brian.)
Of course, upon my doing so he argued back. 'Few more posts where exchanged before he finally said (in short) "If its so simple, do it yourself. Free of charge!"
Naturally I was more than ready to up my rank on the site and help out where I could, I accepted on the terms that I know what I'm working on, server build and such.
Then, like a glistening god, he fell on the topic offering just the info I had needed; Denis scoped it out and sent his own reply. After giving me the trivial info he told me that if I was experienced enough and willing to work, then to send him a message.
Of course I did, I would have been crazy not to.
So, soon after I had sent him my message he gave me more info and requested that I build a blog system. Simple enough yes? No, it was my first time ever using a PHP-PEAR extension class called HTML_QuickForm. I'm surprised I made it as well as I did, for a first test, I failed miserably.
None the less, here before you it stands, slightly hunched over and a little colourless, I'll be fixing that too :P.
In addition to it all, I was added to the site staff. I'm glad to be here, and those of you that know my story will know why (pfft, only about three or four of you know the story.)
----------+----------
As a staff member (Developer is the proper title) I will do my best to help out my fellow members and keep the site current and competitive!
Take that DA! :D
