I should probably start posting this sort of stuff on a regular basis so you know how FAC is doing, developer-wise.
First, you'll be glad to know you can look forward to custom, user-defined gallery sections once our next update is complete (no deadline set). There are a few little niggles left to work out, such as how the sections should be displayed when viewing your user galleries, but the internals are taken care of.
Second, we recently learned that the popular "<3" emoticon was causing story and chapter text to be permanently erased during submission without giving any error messages to go by. This bug has actually been hanging around for YEARS and I find it disturbing that we haven't heard of it until now. Does nobody report these things? If you think you've encountered a bug, we need to know about it, no matter what. You can report it on my userpage or in our forums.
Third, speaking of forums ... the next update will also include an upgrade to phpBB version 3. But for now, if you're unable to log in to the forums, please check out this FAQ topic:

Lastly ... well, I don't have much to say about current developer progress. I was busy working on the internals of the login system, as there was a bug hanging around on the beta-testing site for a good three months that was making it difficult to log in.
