Hello there, and welcome to my page! My name is Avi (on the web, anyways) and it's very nice to meet you. Here on FAC, I generally draw Xiaolin Showdown fanart, though that's not all I draw (original works and other artwork can be found at http://avi17.deviantart.com). I'm always interested in meeting new people, so if you'd like to talk, feel free to drop me a line! ^^

At the moment, I'm holding a contest here and on DA, and I do hope that anyone who reads or is interested in my fanfiction project will enter. ^^

Contest: Draw fanart for avi17's Xiaolin Showdown fanfic, The Beginning of the End ( http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3137777/1/ ) The basic premise behind it is how 1500 years ago, Grand Master Dashi, Chase Young, Wuya, and Master Monk Guan were the first four Xiaolin Dragons, and the story of their lives as they grew up, grew closer, and were eventually swayed to the dark side. It's a really big project for me, so I do hope anyone will give it a read if it sounds interesting. ^^

Rules/guidelines:
- Picture can be of a scene from the story so far, or just of character(s) or pairing(s), so long as it's related (particularly with pairings, try to keep to the ones that are actually in the fic XD)
-Basic references of the characters' designs in the story can be found here- http://www.fanart-central.net/pictures.php?pid=549630 I'm hoping it'll help anyone of they need it, though you certainly don't have to be exact.
-Each person can enter as many times as they want (I'll be surprised if anyone's got multiple entries, but if they do, more power to them. XD)
-In case anyone wants to know, I won't be judging, that'd be unfair. We'll either vote or I'll find a couple of impartial judges, so don't worry about that.
-When you've finished your entry, just note me with a link, of you please. ^^

Prizes: (wil be drawn by me, obviously XD)
-First place: A fully-colored request and an ink-lineart request
-Second place: An ink-lineart request and a pencil sketch request
-Third place: An ink-lineart request

Deadline:
-MARCH 1st, 2007
-However, this deadline is only a sort of outline- when we're getting near that time, if anyone needs/wants more time, I'll extend it as much as is necessary for them (though I hope nobody abuses that...)

Well, I agree with Chase and Dashi, but I believe Quan and Wuya were Earth and Fire, respectfully. Wuya has a shorter fuse and is more of a hot head.

LynxieThats odd...I would understand if it was because an original character was paired up with an existing anime character from a show but its not.
Both characters are original besides original art is normally the best isnt it? Its the same as making an original manga, an original monster, an original scenery or even an original weapon...etc. Original art normally comes from ones mind, how should I put it...Hmm..Its like having an image in you're head and just putting it out on paper without copying anyone else. Its much more creative than drawing somthing that already exists in a cartoon or game because when you draw original art you can make the original characters in your're style and it doesn't have to even look the same, just drawing somthing that actually exists in a cartoon isn't as creative because you would need to do it how it looks, that means you wont be able to change its cloths, hair or eyes in anyway because some people may not be able to tell what character it is if you did.
Oh well...its you're choice. Thanks anyway

Oh, by the way, just to tell you something... you know, about your Rhys x Ulki ? Well, I was telling my brother (who played Path of Radiance and isn't particularly interested in yaoi, yuri and het pairings) that I'd like to show him an artwork, and I showed him your Rhys x Ulki. Then he said for fun : "Oh, how sweet ! Mmm... ah, love..." Though he said it for fun, I think he was still serious in a way (because I have never seen him saying that sort of things about a shonen-ai pairing !)

It means you really did a good job with that pic !

Well, I usually prefer to let artists' draw on inspiration. But if you don't mind, I'd like something soft, because I can't imagine Rhys - almost being a child - do soemthing NC-17 to Kieran ! ^_^ If you have Rhys and Ulki's supports, you can see that Rhys sometimes behaves like a child, though he seems very mature and kind. So I'd like something a little like the Rath x Wil of Autumns-Sacura... still a little yaoi. ^_^

Yes, I have the Rhys x Kieran supports... C, B, A. It's very, very, very funny. No yaoi, but incredibly funny. I advise you to get them till A, it's really worth it. Unless you want me to spoil, I won't say more about them... (and anyway, I'd hardly since I have them in French...)

I hope you didn't start drawing my request yet... because I had an inspiration during the night (^_^) and finally, I'd like you to draw a Rhys x Kieran, because I'm a fan of this couple (though I like Rhys x Mya too) ! If you had already started drawing the Kent x Sain or the Lyn x Florina, well, it doesn't matter. I love them too.

But I think we lack some good FE Path of Radiance fanarts, and seeing you drawing a Rhys x Kieran would be... GREAT ! ^_^

It was actually an inspiration when I was serving some awesome Japanese fansites, though I'm not sure who's fighting over or trying to win over who here... Anyways, strange thing, Tibarn x Nessala are a very popular pairing amongst Japanese fans, if not one of the most.
I haven't picked up the game yet, and I probably won't be for quite a while T_T But no sweat, I'll stalk message boards and read fanfictions to figure stuff out XDD

zword_of_zealHello again. I see that you're really interested in Souen no Kiseki ^^ I think the Ike/Senerio supports were indeed very adorable (and I certainly didn't expect Elaice to have such an unusual personality).

If you'd really want to see more Souen no Seki fanstuff and can't want for the game to come out in US first, I would reccomend you this site http://grun.vis.ne.jp/fetssearch/. Its a Japanese YAOI-oriented Fire Emblem search engine, and it's easy to use if you know the character names in Kana :D
