that and I went to this old general store in the mountains close to where I live and they had all these old candys and nick-nacks (they had the chattering teeth n.n I wanted them SO badly) and they had this candy called "maple candy" and it was in the shape of a maple leaf and the ingredients listed were "pure maple syrup" lol. I wish I could have gotten some and sent it to you lol.
