All my artwork is done using photoshop CS3. I sketch my drawings and either ink them first or scan it in straight away and ink them on photoshop. Depends.

Don't stress out too much. Everyone has what it takes if they just work at it. It took me almost a year to get to where I am now from where you are but I was a mess. Lol. Just don't stress, don't critize everything you do, just look at your mistakes and work on them.

And don't get angry either. Loses your concentration. You will get there eventually. =)

Hmm, I read your blog. You sound just like me when I was 13 years old. Its good what you are doing now. Copying original artworks is a good way to learn the atonomy of people and other objects.
Just continue what you are doing now but while your copying certain artworks, follow the shapes and angles. Look at the way they are drawn and eventually you will get the idea. Its also good to look at some "How to draw MANGA" books which might help with the different angles you can draw faces and the position of the body.

You will get there eventually. I... somewhat did.

Kudos to the Final Fantasy fan. Nice to know there are a lot of Cloud fanatics on Fanart-Central. And keep up with your artwork. Practise makes perfect. =)

I had read your blog and well.....

if you have ideas for the characters or scenes, you can try to scribble them down first, even if they are just some basic elements, then piece them together later on....

and if you want to improve your skill, you may want to copy from the work of an artist whose style you like for starters. Then you can find some tutorials and something professional to use as advices to practise your drawing. Also if you could (and want to, of course), you can try to draw people, real people in coffee shop, school campus or cafeterial or wherever you find approperate (right now i spent half an hour each day to sit in school cafeterial to draw people to practise my skill) and when you draw them, try to capture their actions (i.e. poses) and facial expressions, and those will come up very handy when you try to creat your own drawings (mainly for scenes and also good for poses more than one person).

http://fineart.sk/index.php?cat=1 loomis's anatomy books, it has quite amount of information about human anatomy and some neat tutorials for drawing different body parts. I used it when i just start drawing stuff three years ago.


http://www.posemaniacs.com/pose/randomviewer.html posemaniac's site: it has LOTS of poses that you can rotate for 360 degrees, and it's an excellent choice for both practising and looking for pose references

and at last, DON'T under any cricumstances tell youself that your drawings are crap. (no offence here....heh) and if you have a passion for it, just keep doing it and don't give up!
