Morteon

Entry for Tuxedo_Mini_Mask’s Pokemon contest. This is Morteon, an under-developed form of Eevee. Its tail resembles a snake eating itself, symbolising the cycles of birth, death, and rebirth. Its name is derived from the French word mort, meaning dead. I’m not great at skeletons, but since no one’s ever seen an Eevee skeleton, maybe it doesn’t matter too much. I ended up having to use a diagram of a cat skeleton since I couldn’t really find anything that resembled an Eevee…

Evolution Level:Any (Eevee evolves into Morteon if it hates its trainer.)
Evolved Forms:Eevee (Morteon will evolve back into an Eevee if it grows to love its trainer.)
Location:Unknown, but wild Morteon are occasionally found near the Old Chateau in Eterna Forest.
Type:Ghost

Description:Eevee who are rejected or neglected by their trainers “de-volve” into Morteons. Many of them are ashamed of their skeletal appearances and hide in dusty, abandoned mansions or Pokemon ghost towers. They are so desperate to be wanted and accepted they will dig up and “wear” the remains of deceased Eevees in order to disguise themselves. They feel this is the only way they can gain a trainer’s love.
