The Phantom of the Opera
The Phantom of the Opera

"And in
this labyrinth,
where night
is blind,
the Phantom of the Opera
is there
inside your mind . . ."
Yesterday I went to see the Phantom in the theater - for the second time. I saw it once in 2003 already. Obviously this is the theather version, not the
movie one. Both times I've seen this musical, Christine was blonde (yes, I know she's a brunette in the movie...)

Actually, in the book the Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux, Christine is a blonde. For some reason she has almost always been portrayed as a brunette. Also, in the book Meg Giry has black hair. I love that your Christine has blonde. It almost salutes the book.

I love it. I saw phantom on stage in April, and received Sarah Lawrence as my Christine, and John Cudia as my phantom. They were very nice, though Jim Weitzer (Raoul) has some problems with his spit getting into the passion of his acting... poor base clarinet got a nice (icky) shower that day...:(

This picture is so dreamy... I need to get photoshop because I can't color in lines with anything...
This is a beautiful picutre, as I stated already (repetition is usually not a bad thing). However, there is one thing that bothers me: the Phantom's gray top looks sloppy. I'm not sure how the book went, but in all the plays I've seen, he was always dressed as properly as Raoul (except the last scene with both of them in it). I would also like to see Christine with more hair showing outside her hood, but the way you have her hair looks fine, it's not a necessity.
Well done!
