Yeah, I noticed that too.Its got that grain like it came out of a comic/manga book. I've always wanted to know how that was done.

I really like this image.The work you've done on his eye and smile really bring out an attitude. Its a really sharp character.
The nose looks a little off to me, but I think that is the lines of his hair playing tricks on my eyes.
Speaking of, I can't get enough of the effects you used on the "smoke" from his eye. The red lighting you've used by his headphone makes me think hes off to the side of a busy street.
I'd say your test is a success!
