I drew this a while ago, after watching a Sabrina, the Animated Series marathon. My friend Clio helped me color it, 'cause I didn't have anything more advanced than MSPaint, and it came out weird when I tried to use it.
I think Mel looks a little like Suppi-chan (Spinel Sun) from Card Captor Sakura, but it's probably the eyes. I thought a cynical character would be a good foil for a cheerful innocent character, like Calliope (the witch), and I couldn't exactly give such a pessimistic character wide eyes, now could I?
