Jak II - Loved and Lost

This picture is really pretty depressing if you know the story behind it. When Rayne, at one time a nurse living in the slums of Haven City, married her husband - 23 year old Mihk, she was 17. They had only been married a year when an injured man came to them seeking help, and as they had for countless others, Rayne and Mihk opened their home willingly to assist the stranger.<br />

No more than two days after the man's arrival, Rayne and Mihk's home was raided by the Krimzon Guard, led by none other than Commander Erol. Accused of hiding a wounded rebel, they were arrested when the man was found hiding in the back of their home.<br />
<br />
Separated from her husband during her stay in prison, Rayne went through half a year of gruelling Dark Eco experiments. When she was freed by four other eco experiments who had escaped, she returned to her home... empty and quiet. Only a picture remained, and to this day almost three years later, she remains loyal to Mihk, vowing never to love another until she is certain he'll never come home.<br />

Mihk was brainwashed. He remembers nothing, and is now a member of the Krimzon Guard.<br />

Anyway, this is the picture Rayne found upon her return to her former home. The Precursor at the top of the image reads " Mihk and Rayne".<br />
