A gift for my friend Caitlin Barrett; she is (of course) a Pisces who loves lots of colors! She wanted one fish to be green/blue and the other to be purple/blue, and I was allowed to run wild with everything else. As a fun addition, I made their crest designs masquerade themed.
I wanted to see how far I've come from when I began submitting art to my first gallery online(Fanart Central! My username has been placed on several art pieces since). As a result, this is a combination of the old style of gradient shading I made up when I started coloring digitally and the experience I've built up with ten years of studying other art styles after that... A tribute to the old and the new! =)
Drawn with pencil, inked, then scanned in; digitally colored with Jasc Paint Shop Pro 8 and a mouse.

And here I was gonna commend you for using such vivid beautiful colors until I read your description... then again I just did anyway didn't I. Durn it. I really like this picture, of course the colors, but it is also quite detailed. Great job on it.
