The Bishop

STORY: Reign was a black kitko(cat-fox) born to a village of white foxes. As his fur color and bat wings were a bad omen, he was sent to a monastery to be raised. He grew strong, training in hand-to-hand combat with the other monks. However, he just knew his calling was somewhere out there, beyond the walls of the monastery...

How long had he been planning this? It didn't matter anymore. Tonight, the cathedral doors were unlocked. The only thing separating him from the outside world were those great gates. He had been training his wings in secret. He could surely get over them now...

He hadn't told a soul--No one would miss him. He shed his monk's robe. He needed to leave everything behind. A new life called for him!

Reign reflexively swung his fists to fighting stance as the cathedral doors slammed open. The head monk, clad in all white, stood firmly on the white tiles...

He did not look happy at all.

All EbonyKitko told me was that Reign left the monastery he was raised in to travel the world. This is my rendition of the story...and there is too clearly a chess theme going on here. 8D
