Woo-hoo! This pic took me forever! It came out great though. My first scaled pic! It was fun...yet very tiring. The scales aren't perfect but I'm still working on it! Comments?

Queen_Asheer5600Ah yes Scales can be a real burden if your not used to them :D trust me I am very used to that little fact :) but I usually don't do the scales in the lineart I always put them in when I color so that makes it harder on me. I have always loved the Japanese/Chinese styled dragons because of their curves, I could just never get them out on paper.

StratadrakeIt may feel like forever (I do know what that's like, when I draw I spend an average of about four hours on each), but the actual scales make it look FAR better than basic shading or mere lineart. My favorite part about this is how the scales vary in size on the face and arms.

Add in a little more shading around the edges to help the dragon feel a little more roundish, and maybe some color, then it'd be perfect.
