Description
I drew this from a hodgepodge of refs from hither, thither, and yon, but I still feel as if this came fairly close to my mind's eye's intentions.
Jadis, Empress and death of Charn.
She has always been arrogant, but here she was on her own turf. She knew the history of the place like the palms of her hands. Its magic was in her blood. Its secrets were her heart-sought studies. She could probably have named every statue in the Hall of Images.
And then there was Narnia. She became homeless and nameless, probably learned the rules of the world's magic from the bottom up, masqueraded as human to forge a right to the throne.
She's never been a nice sort of creature, but in a way she seemed more human when she wasn't pretending to be. Jadis before the Winter, before she was "The White Witch."

Love your monologue. ;) Oh, and I like the pic quite a bit as well. :P This one always struck me as having a lot of soul behind it.
