Oyarsa

Hullo. I don’t seem to remember seeing any non-Narnia C.S. Lewis art around here. Perhaps that should be fixed. :)

This is based on The Space Trilogy (or Cosmic Trilogy, depending on your edition). Each of the beings is the Oyarsa, or god-like guardian, of its world. We have here Venus (Perelandra), Earth (Thulcandra), and Mars (Malacandra), respectively.

Yes, our Oyarsa is chained. He’s sort of an exile from his brethren in Deep Heaven, you see. Because of this the other worlds refer to us as Thulcandra, “The Silent Planet.”
