A friend requested a "canyphon"--that is a canine-based gryphon. I only meant it to be a quick sketch, not anything that would take away from my current higher-priority projects, but it was fun and I got involved.

Possibly. Actually, I don't know what contributes more into his voice. He might do kind of a little shriek that's almost a yip. Or he might sing/howl. He's a hawk-terrier, what do you think?

Huh... well, actually, I think hawks make a kind of little purling trill sometimes when they're calling back and forth, and that would mix nicely with a puppy howl. ;)

I'm not sure if that was meant to be a completely rhetorical question or not, but in this case, two ref photos, one failed draft, some pre-sketching, and a couple of really nice fine tipped pens. In general, I guess I practice a lot. *shrug*
