I am still having trouble completely grasping steam punk! Her head seems a little big for that hat, but the detail of those turning pats on the hat is awesome! Random question. Have you ever played the game Syberia? 

The principle, in theory, is that steampunk is science fiction as it might have been imagined by people in Victorian times... i.e., lots of advanced but still old-fashioned-looking airships, steam-powered and clockwork-powered tech, that kind of thing. In practice, though, it often ends up just having a faux-1800's sense of fashion and gears attached. ;)

No, I haven't played that. I'm afraid I'm not usually much of a gamer.

This is lovely phoenix, as expected. I know that we artists are always uber critical of our work, but I think you did a great job, especially with all the details on the hat! :D

Ah, thank you. :) Based on a photograph, so, the hat really exists. Not for sale, though. The maker glued accessories to a bought hat.
