fractured

Letting off steam. Found out somebody I'd respected--not anyone close to me, just somebody I thought was cool and might like to meet eventually--had been behaving in ways that really weren't worthy of that respect. It's not like he was ever somebody I saw as a knight in shining armor. So he was a little rough around the edges sometimes, whatever. But I thought there were lines of decency he knew much better than to cross. That he was, at bottom, a trustworthy kind of guy. And he proved me wrong, and he proved some good and admirable friends wrong, and he proved a lot of fans wrong. Now I'm not sure what to think anymore. He was never a knight, but he's still not a black-caped villain, either. Just less good than I would have liked to believe. Disappointingly human.
