Flittermouse by Firiel

Description
The land of Oz, being in the public domain, has attracted a great deal of what I can only describe as paid fanfiction. In some cases, this can be rather delightful. For example, one of the books I and my sisters enjoyed as kids was an Oz-story by Eloise Jarvis McGraw: "Merry-Go-Round in Oz." One of the side-characters from this book who I found rather endearing was a "Flittermouse" who could only speak in rhyme. And although it's been awhile since I thought much of McGraw's Ozzian venture, he came to mind when I was painting with some friends this afternoon.

That helmet looks like inspired by 17th Century "lobster-tail pots" supplemented by visor from close helmet.
