FirielThanks, Falcon. :) I'm glad you like the necklace - I'm sorta considering trying to make it at some point.

FirielThinking polymer clay, glass, copper wire, and some kinda glaze paint - need to research the paint, and figure out if there's a good way to make the clay more durable - maybe make outlines for the wing-edges with wire first and then shape the clay over it? Not sure what kind of necklace string, some dark red leather would look great with it but would be kinda thick for stringing most of the beans I can find if I wanted to use beads for accents. Also toyed with the idea of making a resin bead instead of using a glass piece for the center, could form it around a fairy-light on a battery back if I wanted to actually have it be able to glow, but my last resin experiment didn't go so well and besides battery-pack fairy lights come in strings not in singles so we'd wind up with lots of other twinkly bits around it - probably makes lat a nope although it would be something to look into if I ever wanted custom lights for a centerpiece at a themed party I guess? (Assuming resin doesn't react badly to the heat of a light bulb - also something to research.)
It's all just speculation for now though, I'm pretty short on cash and my highest art-spending priorities are refreshing my marker supply for personal and commission work and gathering materials for the autumn dryad cosplay I've been planning on and off for over a year.
