By using phrase "Nice job", Cavaloalado said, that he likes your painting. That's an idiom commonly used in continental-European languages, including Portuguese (Cavaloalado's native language) and Polish (my mother tongue) .

Have to admit with him - Gandalf painted by you looks so great, that your work could be used as illustration for "The Hobbit" and "The Lord of the Rings". :)

Ok, thanks - I don't think I've seen the phrase used in quite that way before but it makes sense.

And thank you for the compliment! I've thought for a long time that illustration jobs would be a great way to get to use my art, and so it is pleasant to hear that I'm turning out illustration-quality work - means I'm headed in the right direction. ^_^
