These are really cool looking. Anger; like a blood stain! Jubilation; like a happy tornado! Gloom; like the abyssal zone! And calm; like the sea, (sometimes.) :D

That is nearly precisely what I was going for with each panel. Keen descriptions, all! I'm highly complimented that you got it so exactly.
For jubilation, I was actually visualizing those tiny party popper fireworks that rain out confetti streamers. :)
And also just the overall feel of JOY!, white hot in the middle and moving into multicolored reaction away from the center.
Oh, and for anger I used the edge of a piece of scrap cardboard and stabbed and slashed the paint on. :p
You can't really tell, but I dropped water droplets onto gloom and just let them dry that way, so it would have a decent tear affect.

(OMG, if I misspell precisely ONE MORE TIME... Sorry if you got a few emails saying I commented on this a bunch. I kept deleting and correcting spelling errors. xD)

I guess it shouldn't be a surprise I interpreted almost precisely, seeing as you conveyed them so well to begin with. :-)
Ah, I see. Happy explosions, like popper fireworks! I wouldn't have guessed the technique used for depicting anger and gloom. Though how you went about depicting anger seems very fitting for it; stabbing and slashing. And and interesting way to do a tear effect. Those droplets really paid off. ;-)
