I've been thinking of drawing a manga about the life of a teenager who lived in a Boy's Home. Of course, you can expect a bit of hell going on :gangsters, bullies and even murderers (which is this guy).
The plan is up, but I need time to do out everything (and $$$ to buy screentones). Anyway, I must get rid of that O level 'thingy' first. ...What a bother...-_-|sigh|

Hiya! Firstly, thanks for the comment!

The paper used here was a kind of paper meant for watercolouring. I call it watercolour paper all the time, but I'm not sure if that's the exact name...heh heh. These type of paper, which you can get at any good art stores, is much thicker than computer paper and the ones I bought have a pale creamy-yellow colour, but that doesn't affect the colouring much. And this paper, as you can see, has some kind of texture on it.

There is quite a range of watercolour paper, (coming in different prices) and some produce different effects from others, which in a way, affects the colouring of the piccy. If you're just trying out watercolours, I suggest you use normal drawing paper (not computer paper please...). Once you've got the hang of it, you can try using watercolour paper. (And you'll see the difference....^^b) All the best!

[And ah...I've started on the manga recently, but I'm not posting it up until I'm sure I can continue doing it. I'm not a very good storyteller and this is the second manga I'm attempting to draw...Changed the setting n.n....the very first one had to do with Len and his 'gang' but I had a hard time trying to get a good starting for it...^^;; Thanks again!]

That isn't normal computer paper is it?? If it isn't, what kind is it exactly?? You've inspired me to get into watercolors, but I don't know what kind of paper is best suited to handle those. Could you help me??
Anyways, if you ever get started on this manga, I hope you decide to post some of it. I know it would be very good^^. Once again, great work on this. You seem to have a talent for coming up with original characters with interesting origins.
