I took a quick sketch and decided to paint it with a partially new technique, a mix between digital airbrushing and gradient painting...
It isn't really perfect, I never planned it to be, but for the around 4 hours I invested into this, I think it really doesn't look bad
Zebrafinchyphon... I tend to make this word to my new fave one

I like how the background is soft, yet has sparkly areas. I also like the detail on the head and wing area. Also the light shining on different areas of the wings, head, and body is neat too. Its very good, the only kind of animal (furry) or mystical creature (or what not, Lol) that I actually liked. The thing that irks me though is that it looks like you didn't finish the details, with the wings,the front and the back legs, and some feathers in the back.
Good job though.
