Actually, several different writers write different episodes. David Slack wrote Divide & Conquer, Amy Wolfram wrote Sisters, Rob Hoegee wrote "Final Exam", and so on.
I think they use Beast Boy for more than just comical antics. I mean, they gave him a love interest, and he was betrayed by that love interest. I think they use him for more. Of course, it aggrivates me that in Season 3 there hasn't been ONE frackING REFERENCE TO TERRA, and it was kinda wierd how right after "Betrayal", they have a silly episode, but I still think they try to use Beast Boy for more.
I like his comical persona too, but the writers are doing a very poor job of portraying Beast Boy, and I hate when people take Beast Boy - and the rest of us jokers lightly. People do a very poor job of judging us. Just because we like to joke, doesn't mean we're weak/idiots. And the writers should stop insulting Beast Boy's character. It seems alot like they writers are focusing more on insulting BB's character, instead of trying to make him be funny. It makes me angry.
(It also annoys me when people call Beast Boy an idiot or a weakling)
Yeah, sorry I went into rant mode. I'm just hoping BB will get alot more respect in Season 4. Episode 257-494 or "Don't Touch that dial" was a good start to this season, hope they don't screw it up.

Well, Beast Boy wants a moped, and the description implies that he's going to beg Robin and Cyborg for charity. It aggrivates me the way they portray him. Then they say he's going to get a job. That worries me.. judging by how the writers usually write him, I'm worried that he'll screw up the jobs. Also, it's not a very fun episode if it's only about BB trying out for a job.
I guess I was dissapointed because there wasn't going to be a serious BB episode in Season 4. The only serious BB ep we got was "The Beast Within". I wanted to see another episode that has to do with his powers. I mean, I really want to see more conflict with Beast Boy. Not stupid stuff where he's saving up for a moped.
